Iphofen/Germany: These were intensive days with the Central Asia Committe in the German Eastern Business Assocciation. Invited and hosted by the Knauf Group, high-ranking company representatives and board members discussed political and economic developments with representatives of the German Federal Foreign Office, talked about the transformation process in Uzbekistan and the strategies of the Asian Development Bank. In addition, Dr. Thomas Krause, Managing Director of ALPHA, presented a thesis paper on technical regulation in Uzbekistan and synergy effects for German companies, which was widely discussed. Despite intensive work, all participants were able to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Lower Franconian wine country and taste local wine according to their preferences.
